Hello, I’m Ken. I'm a technical writer in the field of fitness. In general, my criticism of exercise notions is the dearth of linguistic distinctions when they are discussed. And for this reason, my field is a vast definitional cesspool (Reminds me of the La Brea tar pits) that casts a pall of confusion seeping into the medical field and into legal language. For our purpose to explore linguistic imprecision, there was never a more rich depository than the fitness community.
I will avoid talking about exercise in this newsletter unless it directly pertains to the linguistic discussion. For those who want more information on my exercise writings go to seriousexercise.com. My books are available at baye.com.
I have several linguistic topics that are far, far more important than exercise. They may effect faulty thinking and they may be the result of faulty thinking.
Please make comments, especially for the purposes of correcting any errors I might commit.
And please feel free to copy, take, criticize, debunk, re-use, and/or share verbatim or otherwise any of the ideas I express. [Note that I did not phrase this as “share any of my ideas” which implies possession and control.] As I am new to Substack, if I eventually find a way to turn off the copyright notice, I WILL!
And don’t bother attributing credit to me for any of the ideas I express in this newsletter. Take them for whatever good they might bring.
I am MOST passionate about you taking and sharing any and all of the posts herein about cult bashing. I believe that it is fundamentally important for many reasons you will appreciate for yourself.
