Yesterday--July 4, 2024--I saw the headline "Ford Trucks Pull Giant American Flag." What American Flag? I know of the United States flag... but an American Flag???
Saw your comment at Larry Johnson's and clicked your link. My term is Outlaw US Empire, which renders us citizens USians. At least the names of the various languages are correct--English, Spanish, German--did you know German was the #2 lingua franca prior to WW1 within the USA?
I've used the term for 20 or so years now because the federal US government Executive and legislative have both been in continuous violation of the US Constitution since October 1945 when the UN Charter become a viable--legal--international document. Look to the supremacy clause within the constitution for the why.
Thanks! I listen to Hudson every chance I get. He's good, but I've never heard anyone but myself and John Pugsley and Milton Friedman point out that rising prices are not inflation but the result of inflation. Perhaps I've just not heard Hudson at the right moment.
For years, I have asserted that we USians do not live in either the most free or “great” country. Due mostly to looting by our own government and citizens.

From Matt:
I recall as a kid heading into Canada and the border patrol asking why I was leaving America.

I've not heard this.
Welcome to my Substack!
Please read my stuff about inflation. You might start with "Talking Points..."

Interesting your "Talking Points." Currency debasement causes inflation and such began 4,000 years ago when such actions were taken. I do suggest you take the time to read this, https://michael-hudson.com/2023/01/inflations-drivers-on-the-geopolitical-hour/ and this, https://michael-hudson.com/2022/05/inflation-a-junk-economics-perspective/
I could continue, but those two are enough for starters, although this ought to fascinate you, https://michael-hudson.com/2018/04/palatial-credit-origins-of-money-and-interest/
